CSX — Cold-shrink cable exit protection

Cold Shrink — cable accessories that install cold

An elastomeric tube pre-expanded on an internal spiral support. Slide it over the cable, pull the cord to unwind the spiral, and the tube shrinks down on its own. No flame, no heat gun.

  • Six series: tubes, RF connector boots, caps, 1 kV accessories, terminations and breakouts
  • 4:1 shrink ratio in silicone rubber, 3:1 in EPDM
  • IP67 per IEC 60529, IP68 on the CSB series
  • Terminations up to 35 kV · RoHS and REACH compliant
Eight black and gray CPE CSX series cold shrink tubes with the white spiral support cores still inserted
The CSX family

Installs where heat is prohibited or impractical

No flame, no heat gun: CSX accessories install in substations, manholes or inside a cabinet. Protection comes from the elastomeric tube which, once released from its support spiral, shrinks back down onto the cable.
